The women ministry at CIA Northampton – Women on Mission (WoM) mission is ‘raising women of difference making a difference’.
As a Christian Women’s ministry, our duties encompass a variety of responsibilities aimed at fostering faith, spiritual growth, community, and support among Women in the church. Below are some key responsibilities we carry out:
Spiritual Nurturing: Organizing Bible studies, prayer groups, and retreats to help Women grow in their faith and understanding of God’s Word.
Service and Outreach: Providing opportunities for Women to serve within the church and the broader community through volunteer work, missions, and outreach programs.
Support and Mentorship: Creating support groups for various needs (e.g., grief, celebrations, baby arrivals, marriage life, parenting) and establishing mentorship programs to guide and support Women in their personal, career and spiritual lives.
Fellowship and Social Activities: Planning events and activities that encourage fellowship and build relationships among Women in the church, such as social gatherings, workshops, and conferences.
Leadership and Administration: Leading the Women’s ministry team, coordinating events, and ensuring effective communication within the team and with the broader church community.
Education and Training: Providing biblical education and training tailored to Women’s experiences and needs, empowering them to utilize their spiritual gifts and take active roles in the church.
These responsibilities help create a supportive and nurturing environment where women can grow spiritually, serve others, and build meaningful connections within their faith community. These we do through several activities, programs:

• Visitation – WoM will endeavour to visit all Women in CIA upon joining the church to welcome each Woman and creating an awareness of the role of WOM in the church.
WOM Members – All Women in CIA Northampton from ages 25yrs upwards are expected to be members of WoM. This requires attending our get together regularly and supporting the ministry’s mission. We empower women to discover, develop, and maximize their Christ given potentials.
Ground Rules – It is important all Women are clear on expectations during all WOM get together and a ministry as a whole. The following are some rules agreed by all Women together to help support everything we do. These include:
• To respect one another’s opinion even if you don’t share the same view
• Any private information shared at the get together should be treated with upmost confidentiality
• Keep to timing for all get together – ensuring we start on time and finish on time, hence all Women to arrive on time.
• All communications regarding WOM to be circulated effectively through group chat on WhatsApp, email or other medium as necessary.
